Buy more time to prepare your accounts.
Your company's annual return date (ARD) may fall too soon after its financial year end to have the accounts ready. In that case, the ARD can be extended by up to six months.
The rules
- The extension form must reach the CRO within 56 days of the current ARD. A late form can't be accepted.
- An ARD can be extended only once in every five years, so it's worth getting the new date right.
- It shouldn't be filed with the first annual return, as that can shorten the time to file your first accounts.
What's included
- Review of your year end and ARD to choose the best new date
- Preparation and filing of the CRO form
Already past the deadline? See our Court Application to Extend ARD service.
